Daryaganj has a real claim to culinary fame: Moti Mahal, the restaurant where Kundan Lal Gujral invented butter chicken, has operated here for over 70 years. The tandoor-cooked, Mughal-influenced style he pioneered went on to define North Indian restaurant food across the country.
